If you haven’t made to the Taste of London Festival yet, you are missing out! You have only two more days to experience it. I visited the Taste of London Thursday 21st and had a great time visting different restaurant tents. Among my favourites: ‘Basque’ spicy confit duck from Club Gascon, skirt steak from Gaucho, ‘Poulpe Rôtie’ (octopus) from Bar Boulud, Mini burgers from Barbecoa (Jamie Oliver & Adam Perry Lang), and ‘Peach Melba’ from Savoy. What does this have to do with cocktails? Great question, NOTHING! Just figured I would throw in my suggestions.
When it comes to cocktails, there were several tents with beer, sparking and mixed drinks but what really caught my attention was a drink called Encantador (charming) at the Savoy bar tent. The cocktail was exquisite and after talking to the bartender, it happens that the Encantador is currently in a competition for classic modern cocktails. Here’s the recipe:
Bacardi Superior Rum
Eau de Framboise
